ALPHA NU's Alpha Nu Chapter of Sigma Chi at The University of Texas H Fall 2014 House Corporation Thanks Alumni for Their Involvement Founded in 1884 W hat a summer! I want to thank all Sigma Chi alumni who have answered the call for support for the Alpha Nu scholarship initiative. All donations are tax deductible and are being channeled through the Sigma Chi Foundation and placed into our Alpha Nu Chapter Fund. All monies will be available only to Alpha Nu Chapter for scholarships and leadership programs. You can read more about the Sigma Chi Foundation and why this is such an important cause below. Alpha Nu Brings Home Awards I am also pleased to report that the Chapter attended the 2014 Balfour Leadership Training Workshop at Ball State University this summer and returned with another Peterson Significant Chapter Award and our second Gold Outstanding House Corporation Award. Recruitment Success Summer recruitment has resulted in another outstanding 50-man fall pledge class. The Chapter rose to third overall GPA last semester, which goes to show that scholarship is high on the list for each member. The Chapter will be well over 200+ members when the fall pledges are initiated in November. Join Us for Football Tailgates There will be a tailgate at all home football games this fall so come meet the outstanding young men of Alpha Nu Chapter. Feel free to come by the house whenever you are in Austin. Also, thanks to all who participated in the Audrey Freeman Golf Classic in June. Read more about this event on page 4.
