Theta Techsan 3 O ur organization is dedicated to building strong and lasting bonds of friendship between members who strive to live in accordance with the noble ideals of Kappa Alpha eta. ese standards include the attainment of highest scholarship, the exercise of the widest influence for good, and the standard of love. We are a group of passionate, motivated, and loyal members committed to attaining the finest and most rewarding college experience. Undergraduates Value Convention Experience is summer, Gamma Phi Chapter won the coveted Golden Kite Award and was a finalist for the Founders Award. e Lubbock Alumnae Chapter won the Twin Star Award. We were thrilled to have sent our executive officers to convention to truly appreciat the experience. Gamma Phi Welcomes 83 New Members LOOKING FOR OUTSTANDING WOMEN A lthough fall formal recruitment is our priority for gaining new members every year, Gamma Phi wants to know about outstanding high school seniors coming to Texas Tech in the near future. We count on our alumnae to make recommendations for those who they think would uphold our eta ideals. Gamma Phi Wins Golden Kite Award Sisterhood, Service Remain Top Priorities Making Philanthropy a Priority Members of Gamma Phi enjoy Panhellenic events, leadership opportunities around campus, an outlet for spiritual growth, and much more. We are actively involved in our local CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the South Plains chapter and partner with them to host the CASA 5K run each spring. We have also just implemented eta Corral, a barbecue benefitting CASA. Campus and Community Involvement Tech etas are involved in many aspects of service in our community, including Day of Service, Adoption Day with CASA, Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity Greek Build, as well as giving back through local churches. We host weekly bible studies, service projects, lunches, and sisterhood events for all of our members as well as a packed social calendar that includes mixers, date parties, formals, tailgates, and parent's weekends! We take pride in competing in all intramural sports and campus-wide events, while still emphasizing the importance of academic success.
