Best Martini Circa 1800 108 Person St 910.568.4725 www.thecirca1800.com The incredible dining experience at Circa 1800 is due to its insanely fresh local ingredients prepared with passion and precision. Circa's elegant southern- style dishes feature local honey and vegetables, grass fed beef and free-range pork. By investing in the finest ingredients as the foundation for each dish, the end product is superior. Even the liquors are homegrown. They have local draft beers, vodka, gin, rum and traditional white whiskey. Though every night at Circa 1800 results in an amazing dining experience, Mondays are a very special day. Monday is $5 martini night. This day is legendary. The cocktails and drinks at Circa 1800 are treated with the same detail and passion as the food. Small batch, locally distilled liquors are made with attention to detail that is lost in large- scale production. These flavorful and unique liquors provide a strong base for the creativity and fresh ingredients that Circa mixologists employ. Best Breakfast/Best Greek Cuisine Zorbas Gyro 2919 Raeford Rd. 910.484.1010 www.allmenus.com/nc/cross-creek/60546-zorbas-gyro/menu/ When people talk about Greek food the first restaurant that comes to mind is Zorbas on Raeford Road and in Hope Mills. The first food that comes to mind is the gyro. And, no one makes a gyro better than Zorbas. This folded sandwich made of a dense, soft, flat bread, called a pita, is filled with a variety of succulent roasted meats (chicken, lamb or beef ) and generally cooked on a vertical spit and then shaved off in thin strips. This gives each slice a crispy char on the outside and a moist juicy inner side. Then it is layered with crisp lettuce, juicy sweet tomatoes and sharp onions. Tzatziki (a yogurt, lemon, cucumber and dill sauce that has the familiar and pleasant bite of a sour cream) is then added as a final touch. Ahhh, perfection. However, Zorbas offers up much more than gyros. It prepares other classic Greek dishes like Souvlaki as well as traditional Italian favorites like homemade spaghetti, pizza and a virtual variety of hot subs. And, if that is not enough, for decades Zorbas has been the go to place for a traditional home-cooked breakfast and a great cup of coffee. Locally owned and operated, the staff at Zorbas is vested in the community. One bite and you will see why Zorbas is recognized as the "Best of the Best" year after year.
