Best Tennis Court Highland Country Club 1105 Highland Country Club Drive 910.484.5061 www.highlandcc.us/tennis Highland Country Club has once again taken the title of Best Tennis Courts, and for good reason. The club takes great pride in its seven profession- ally maintained HarTru courts, two hard courts and the new two- story clubhouse with its signature upper deck that allows members to watch matches in the comfort of the covered deck year round. Under the guidance of Director of Tennis, Kevin Caccia, tennis play at the country club over the last four years has tripled. A major focus of the program has been introducing new players to the sport. The staff now includes three full-time certified tennis professionals, who provide members the most up- to-date instruction and methodologies, including 10 and under tennis, which uses modified courts, racquets and balls. Highland Country Club proudly hosts one adult and two junior tournaments each year, as well as a Susan G. Komen fundraiser each October. In July of this year, Highland was the host site for the Junior Team Tennis State Championships. The club has also formed 33 adult and eight junior league teams in 2014, with eight local league championships. So grab your racket and head down to Highland Country Club; while you are there, talk to the Director of Tennis, Kevin Caccia who can fill you in on all the great things about the program.
