If children qualify for services, they will be served at the school closest to them if they are not enrolled in the Head Start pro- gram. This gives them the help early, before school starts in Kindergarten. Quartzsite and Cibola parents are en- couraged to bring their children to the Ehrenberg screening on September 19. Tney will be working with WACOG and hope to hold a spring 2015 event in Quartzsite. Jacque Price, QES Super- intendent said, "We hope that this will become a semi-annual event." October 31 – Dedication of 50th Commem- orative Vietnam War Display at 9:00 a.m. in Town Hall. Join us for this dedication and view the display. November 1 – Walk In The Past at the Cem- etery. Please bring in all of your unwanted and expired pre- scription medications for proper disposal. Personal information will not be gathered and you will remain anonymous. Please remove all pills from prescription contain- ers and put into plastic baggies. For safety reasons, needles, liquids and powders should remain in their original containers. QPD plans for Drug Take Back Day Sept. 27 Proper disposal of prescription medications at the Quartzsite Po- lice Department ensures that these medications do not get fl ushed into and contaminate the water systems or sit in a landfi ll. Most impor- tantly, it helps keep children, teens, and adults from accessing them and abusing them.
