Rotary & La Paz Regional Hospital donations help Business Chamber By Joanne Winer Just a few days after receiving a check from the Quartzsite Rotary for $1,000 to help get the Busi- ness Chamber up and running again, President Cee Carnevale got a call that they were going to receive another check for the same amount from the La Paz Regional Hospital, long time members of the Busi- ness Chamber. The trailer that housed the Busi- ness Chamber was destroyed by a huge microburst that peeled back the roof and fl ooded the offi ce with rain, destroying most of the printed materials they give out, and also soaking one of their comput- ers. Luckily they were able to cover the remaining computers and printers before any more dam- age was done to them. Since the damage was done, many chamber members and others have come forward to help get the offi ce back running again before the upcoming busy season. Special thanks to Everett's Towing, RJK Construction, John and Cheri Prutch, Marie and Sandy, John Smith and crew, and Tony, Cee and Joanne for all their hard work, and to those who have donated their time helping clean up the old site so the other trailer can be moved in soon. A special thanks also to Jean Winters who called Patty Lamb and to Patty for donating the offi ce trailer that will soon house the Chamber offi ce. They are hoping to be in place and running in a few more weeks, and are working hard to get it open before the winter sea- son is upon us. Once the trailer has been put into place, volunteers will be needed to help paint, print, fold, landscape, decorate and whatever else will be needed to get it ready. If you have some time, or wish to donate, please call Cee at 928- 927-9321 as she is answering the phones at her house for now until they are hooked up again. They will be doing mass mailings as soon ROCKS IN MY HEAD The World's Greatest Rock, Prospecting & Outdoor Education Company RICE RANCH SPACE A37 Quartzsite, AZ OPEN Nov. thru March GOLD, SILVER, BUY & SELL Unique Rocks & Fossils Cabs - Rough - Slabs METEORITES-PETRIFIED WOOD Dino Bone & Mammoth Ivory Animal Parts & Leather Native American Artifacts Jewelry - Supplies - Beads GOLD PROSPECTING ROCKHOUNDING - LAPIDARY New-Used-Parts-Supplies Books-Maps-Local Site Info CONSIGNMENTS - RENTALS CLASSES - DEMOS QUARTZSITE PROSPECTING T-Shirts, Totebags, & More!
