In 2013, we focused on enhancing our suite of action tools, including a new initiatives platform, an updated petitions tool
and a web-based version of our Commit2Act mobile action tracking application to ensure compatibility across all mobile
device platforms.
TakingITGlobal's online community welcomed 40,000 new members
into our online community, growing beyond half a million members to
reach 537,667 people around the world.
Campaigns featured include We See Things Differently, which
showcased the vision and actions that young people are taking to
improve their world, and the Member of the Week contest, sharing the
inspirational stories of our membership to inspire others to action.
We celebrated a total of 90 international days, providing background
information, context and pathways to action to engage youth in
addressing global issues and challenges.
We also revamped our Educational Games section highlighting dozens
of games developed by leading non-profit organizations across
the globe.
