24 McGraw-Hill Ryerson Education TIGed is excited to form a partnership with McGraw-Hill Ryerson Education this year, lending our experience and insight on youth-led civic action as part of an advisory board comprised of educators and community-based organizationsdeveloping a new curriculum resource to accompany Ontario's new Grade 10 Civics course. TIGed is looking forward to continuing this partnership in the new year and sharing our Guide to Action methodology for the benefit of student civic engagement across our province. Ongoing Partnerships In 2013 we continued our relationships with established TIGed partners. Our partnership with Microsoft Partners in Learning allowed us to provide scholarships to educators in our Empowering Student Voice in Education e-course. We continued our work with Pearson Education on the myWorld TIGed program, an online companion program to the myWorld History and Geography textbooks. Through the TIGed platform, we host virtual learning and collaboration spaces for The City of New York's Global Partners Junior program, which connects students aged 9-12 in cities around the world (http://gpjunior. tiged.org/). For the Challenge 20/20 program (http://challenge2020. tiged.org), led by the National Association of Independent Schools, the TIGed platform connects classrooms globally to collaborate and act on global issues. At the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference, San Antonio, TIGed launched the new Future Friendly Schools program. Future Friendly Schools recognizes and certifies leading schools that are committed to providing inclusive, responsible, globally-relevant learning experiences. Finally, TIGed brought global dimensions to, and helped promote, Mindshare Learning's 21st Century video challenge.
