Exhibitions
Over the course of 2013, we have showcased the amazing multimedia
artwork created by our youth participants at a number of prestigious
events, locally and globally. In Toronto, we had the opportunity to
showcase the 2013 collection at events including the Art Fusion
Festival, Youth Day 2013, Global Citizens Forum and GCELE Social
Action Forum. We also had the opportunity to host galleries at national
and global events such as the United Nations Youth Assembly (NYC),
the Global Youth Assembly (Edmonton), the World Summit Youth
Awards (Colombo) and the UNESCO Youth Forum (Paris).

The Aspire Awards celebrates the work of young media artists from
around the world through recognition of creative potential in media
production. In 2013, TakingITGlobal's partner sites won 7 awards in
the competition, placing 1st in three categories.
Creativity Scholarships

The Adobe Foundation Creativity Scholarships support youth who are
participating in the program and plan to pursue a career in a creative
field.
The first application cycle of the Creativity Scholarships took place in
the Spring of 2013. We are proud to announce that in this inaugural
year, 7 youth affiliated with TakingITGlobal's program were selected
as scholarship recipients!
WHAT'S NEXT?
We look forward to continuing to work with our partner sites
to showcase youth media through diverse outlets. Our youth
ambassadors will play a key role in using the skills they have gained
through their participation in the program to become leaders in their
communities. As we move forward, we hope to continue expanding
our focus on using artistic expression to enable stronger community
involvement and civic participation.
