Tau Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi Fall 2014 Tau Tales * D ue to the generous support of our sisters and friends, the Tau Chapter of Alpha Delta Pi's, Continuing Our Tradition, Securing Our Legacy campaign has completed the renovation of all three phases: the new, updated living room and sunroom, the full kitchen remodel, and the built-in wardrobes in the new addition. To date, we have raised $334,145 from 290 KU ADP alumnae and friends. But we still need the support of all Tau alumnae to help us increase participation significantly to reach our goal of $350,000 and secure the financial and long-term integrity Tau deserves. Renovations Nearing Completion Phase one of the renovation was completed in the summer of 2013 with a completely updated look to the living room and sunroom. The summer of 2014 brought big changes to the chapter house as well, as we were able to make phases two and three a reality. Collegians returned in August to a completely remodeled commercial kitchen and collegiate hospitality kitchen. The commercial kitchen has all new appliances, including: range, ice makers, hood, dishwasher, mixer, fryer, convection oven, and more. The collegiate hospitality kitchen includes beautiful walnut cabinetry, quartz counters, etched glass doors with our lions on them, an integrated hot and cold buffet, microwave, refrigerator, and ice maker. Finally, new built-in wardrobes replaced all of the original built-ins in the new addition bedrooms. They were completed with new silestone counter tops as well. New flooring was then installed in these rooms to finish off the look for a complete makeover. The house looks stunning from head to toe! Project Essential for Success Several sororities at KU have completed renovations or updating the looks of their houses. Recently KKG completed a total kitchen makeover and SK constructed a new third floor on the north side of their facility. Our project is important from a competition standpoint, but also to benefit our sisterhood. We want to continue recruiting strong, dedicated women who not only leave their impression on ADP, but also KU and the world beyond. Having this newly updated house will ensure that we are providing these women with a safe, comfortable place to live, as well as creating a home away from home where lifelong friendships will grow and thrive for many generations to come. Continued Support Needed I want to make sure KU ADP stays strong. I know that you want to see this as well. Though we've completed the renovations, we must reach our fundraising goal. This goal will allow us to pay for the entire project and empower the undergraduate chapter with the tools they need to be successful. We urge you to make a pledge to KU ADPi. Please show your support of this project and help renovate your Alpha Delta Pi Tau Chapter Celebrates Milestone in Campaign Support Still Needed to Finish Strong Alumnae, help us finish the campaign strong.
