NEW BEDROOM FURNITURE
GIVES EPSILON BETA A FRESH LOOK
M
any of the chapter's active members, House Board members, and our
wonderful House Director, Miss Lucy, worked hard over the summer
to ensure that the Epsilon Beta house is warm and welcoming this fall.
Nine Women Attend Convention
Summer began with nine active members and alumnae
putting on their cowboy boots and heading to KKG's
biennial convention in Houston for four days of Kappa
sisterhood and learning. Kappa Headquarters pays
for one active member and one alumna to attend
the convention. This year, the chapter paid for two
additional women to go, and House Board paid
for five. It was so fun to share each meal together
and compare notes about what we had learned. The
five active members were like sponges, soaking up
everything Kappa and immediately trying to figure out how
to implement all sorts of new ideas at EB. All nine of us came
back energized and excited about the 2014-15 school year!
New Bedroom Furniture
This summer, House Board purchased new bedroom sets, each including
a bed, chest of drawers, under-bed drawers, desk, desk carrel, and desk
chair. A new bed set was also purchased for Miss Lucy's room. It was
a big project, moving old furniture out, cleaning, moving new furniture
in, and setting up each room. The bedrooms look fresh and updated and
will be enjoyed for many years to come. House Board has now completed
refreshing all three above-ground floors at the EB house!
House Board to Announce ree-Year Plan
House Board also had a full day retreat, with four of its
members spending the night before at the chapter
house. A productive day of planning and discussion
followed, the result being a three-year plan we are very
enthusiastic about. House Board will review this at the
EB House Corporation annual meeting to be held at
11 a.m., September 13, just after Kappa Kickoff at the
chapter house.
Last, but not least, I am so proud of the active members
of EB! Their leadership is outstanding, and EB is a chapter
for us all to be proud of. They are an amazing group of women
and I encourage all of you to head to Ft. Collins for a visit.

New furniture updates the chapter house bedrooms. All of the old bedroom furniture was donated to
an area church youth group to help them fundraise for a mission trip to Jamaica. Read more about it on page 2!
