She explained big changes will be effective August 1st, 2014. ~ The Town of Quartzsite will no longer be providing transit service to Parker. La Paz County Health Dept. will be the provider for WEEKLY Wednesday trips to Parker. However the Parker trip is now only $5 donation (previously $10). For more information or to schedule your pickupfff, call 928-669-6155. Quartzsite Transit Services are available to elderly, disabled, and elderly disabled population. There is a limited occupancy of 8 passen- gers depending on the size of the van. Local bus trips remains at only $3 donation. ~ As of August 1st the Transit will be providing local service in town Monday through Friday. ~The bus will now deliver pas- sengers daily to Quartzsite Senior Center for their lunch meals. Lunch Donation is $3.50. ~ WACOG has granted the Town of Quartzsite 4,300 AAA passes. Resi- dents must qualify for the free passes which can only be used for in-town bus trips. The trip must also be used for medical, pharmacy or food, such as at the Senior Center Lunches. AUGUST SCHEDULE: Daily transit service in Quartzsite is now Monday - Friday ($3 donation) The bus will go to Blythe on Tues- day, Aug. 5th and Tues. Aug. 19th. ($10 donation) Yuma trips this month are Wed. Aug. 6th, and Wed. Aug. 20th. ($15 donation) The only Lake Havasu trip this month will be on Wed. Aug. 13. Town of Quartzsite NOTICE OF PROPOSED WATER RATE CHANGE NOTE DATE CHANGE TO AUGUST 26TH, 2014 The Town Council will hold a public hearing on a proposed water rate change on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of Town Hall lo- cated at 465 N. Plymouth Avenue, Quartzsite. The Town Council may vote to approve the proposed water rates at that time. The proposed rate structure estab- lishes a fi ve-year planning cycle. The following chart provides a summary of the proposed water rates for the next fi ve years. The proposed rate change will take effect on October 1, 2014.
