This flyer designed as part of an event co-sponsorship agreement with The Daily News Food From the Heart Food Drive 5 TH Annual August 1-15, 2014 Funds for As a supporter, your contribution will assist Tehama County hunger relief charities improve access for many food items to better serve the hungry. Food From the Heart is excited to announce the addition of Los Molinos Nu-Way Market as a food provider along with North State Food Bank. Between the two they will provide 19 Tehama County food pantries with a wide variety of food choices, including staples and fresh produce. It is estimated that almost 19% of Tehama County residents do not have access to enough food to sustain a healthy life. Approximately 6200 children, ill and needy are served through Tehama food programs each month. Last Summer over 200 Tehama County individuals, businesses and service groups raised $8000 in two weeks to support the emergency food services of 18 county food pantries. Through North State Food Bank these agencies were able to buy over 40,000 pounds of food during the year when most needed.
