Our Opportunity of a Lifetime
A
periodic pause to reflect on history and envision the
future is important for any organization. For the Texas
Alpha Chapter of Phi Kappa Psi, our history now spans nearly
110 years—years filled with unprecedented accomplishment,
honor and tradition. Since 1904, Texas Alpha has been an
integral part of the University of Texas.
Most of us can trace the roots of our success to one place—Phi
Kappa Psi. e early training we received through our Fraternity,
including leadership and social skills, teamwork and character,
has been integral to our personal success. Phi Kappa Psi has
shaped men who are leaders in their careers, communities and
at U.T., but it is the common bond of our brotherhood that
rings throughout all eras. More than anything, brotherhood is
what sets us apart and what we, as alumni, treasure most.
While there may be some differences in today's chapter
compared to the one you knew, there has been a strong heritage
of Texas Alpha men for nearly 110 years at the University of
Texas. All Texas Alpha alumni can be proud of the legacy we
have helped create and the historical quality of our chapter
that carries on to date. With our past and present secure, we
must now look to our future. It is imperative that all Texas
Alpha brothers bond together to overcome the challenges of
our rapidly changing society that Phi Psi faces today. We must
continue to support our Fraternity and its mission to build
better men.
