'14. beta theta pi 5 Congratulations, Graduates! Alumni update MeMory and our Mystic shrine Henry S. Dreher Jr. '40 of Salina entered Chapter Eternal on July 11, 2012. Henry was born on September 4, 1918, in Natoma to Eva Beeson Dreher and Henry S. Dreher Sr., M.D. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in 1943. Upon completion of his internship at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Henry was commissioned as a junior medical officer in the U.S. Navy. He served on LST 505, which was part of the June 6, 1944, D-Day Invasion of Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. Upon returning from the service in 1949, Henry joined the Mowery Clinic in Salina, where he practiced internal medicine until his retirement in 1994. John "Jack" Robinson '49 entered Chapter Eternal on December 26, 2013. He was born on February 14, 1927, in Kansas City, Mo., to Dr. David Robinson and Aileen Robinson. He met his wife, Patricia, when they were in their teens and were married on June 17, 1949. They were happily married for over 64 years until Patricia's death. Jack was a graduate of the University of Kansas, where his family was rich in KU history. Jack loved his Beta Theta Pi affiliation and participated as chairman of the KU Alumni Association and the School of Engineering. Jack went to work for his uncle at Black and Veatch and gave over 40 years of service becoming a managing partner before he passed away. Neal S. McCoy '62 of Oxford, M.D., entered Chapter Eternal on September 25, 2010, at his home. Neal had a highly successful career in law and a love of sailing. But most dear to him was his wife of 30 years, Catherine Collins McCoy. He was a member of the Federal Bar Association, Talbot Investment Group, Tred Avon Yacht Club in Oxford, and the Underwood Club in New Russia, N.Y. aluMni news R. Clifford Banks '40 is retired and enjoys playing tennis and traveling. "Even though I have retired, I seem to keep busy and have no time to just sit around," he said. Robert K. Ready '48 authored Condemned To Be Free, published in 2007, Condamne A Etre Libre, 2007, and The Lie, 2012. Dick Wink '55 and his wife, Peggy, enjoy the lake life at the Lake of the Ozarks. Their twin granddaughters both attend KU and have been enjoying it. Dick and Peggy like spending time with their family and friends and hope to entertain Beta friends who visit the lake.
