Iota Iota's Competitive Spirit Takes Root
Campaign Reaches $1,796,593 with Support of 349 Alumni and Friends

spring 2014
T
he brothers of Iota Iota have gotten behind The Legacy Campaign
in full force. If you have been watching the class participation
numbers, you probably noticed that several pledge classes really
stand out. Seven alumni classes have participation rates exceeding
60%, and four have raised more than $100,000. View the chart on
page three to see how your class ranks.
We are $203,407 short of reaching our $2 million goal and need the
support of all brothers to achieve success. We are 90% of the way
there—we need YOU more than ever to help us meet our goal.
To date, 349 of 1,494 Iota Iota brothers have shown their support
for this vital campaign. That translates to 24% participation. If you
have not contributed, we are now offering the opportunity for more
bragging rights within the chapter house and ask you to join together
with your pledge brothers in this class challenge before the campaign
concludes. Individual graduation classes that meet one of the three
challenge levels below will be honored with naming rights at the new
chapter house:
• Exceed 50% participation and collectively raise $25,000 for naming
rights to a dorm room
• Exceed 50% participation and collectively raise $50,000 for naming
rights to a front column
• Exceed 50% participation and collectively raise $100,000 for nam-
ing rights to the back courtyard
It's time to apply serious dedication to making our new house a shin-
ing symbol of what fraternity life has to offer. Others before us made
loyal commitments to ensure our success. Now it's our turn. We need
to step up and match the high participation rates the active members
and other pledge classes have already put forth.
By sending in your pledge today, you are establishing yourself as
an alumni leader and showing the active brothers that the bonds
of ΣX brotherhood do not end at graduation from the University of
Alabama—it lasts a lifetime. We have come a long way since the cam-
paign's announcement in 2012, but there is still much work to be done
and little time left to do it. Please join us in this effort by making your
commitment today.
