Lambda Chi Alpha - University of Illinois - Champaign, Illinois • Spring 2014 Chi Zetagram W hen we graduate from the University of Illinois, we all leave Lambda Chi Alpha with high hopes of keeping our fraternal bonds intact. Unfortunately, we quickly find that many new interests—careers, families, and civic activities—can create valid diversions. e day-to-day activities of life take over and, before long, we fall out of touch and begin to wonder what happened to our brothers. Knowing that other commitments can oen pull brothers in many different directions, the Alumni Association of Chi Zeta has formed several different committees in order to reconnect brothers and to engage with those who have become disconnected. is new committee structure, which is being led by the Board of Directors, includes more than 50 alumni from all eras of our chapter. It is our hope that these different committees will work in conjunction with the Board of Directors to inform alumni about Chi Zeta, plan various alumni events, and continue to analyze the best strategy to staying competitive with other housing options on campus. We continue to seek volunteers from all generations for help on these committees. We have needs in finance, communications, strategic planning and organizing social activities. Volunteering on a committee is a great way to become reconnected to Chi Zeta and to work alongside brothers from all eras. Committee meetings usually take place by phone and via e-mail, so you don't have to live in the Champaign area to be involved. is is an exciting time to be a member of Lambda Chi Alpha. Please reach out to me or to any of the committee chairmen should you wish to get involved. A full roster of the present organization is on the back cover of this newsletter. Please take a look at it and let us know how you can hep!
