Electrical Engineering a lpha Iota has been working diligently this semester to better the chapter as a whole by improving the scholarship program, expanding philanthropy and service, and enhancing recruitment. By focusing attention on these areas Sigma Pi at Missouri S&T will be the best fraternity on campus. The chapter's academic performance slid from the top five fraternities last semester with a cumulative GPA of 2.878. The response was immediate with a revamped scholarship program that should see results at the end of this spring, putting Sigma Pi back on top. The chapter continues to prioritize service and philanthropy. The biannual ACE project was expanded from a single day to a full week of events dedicated to giving back to Missouri S&T. Alpha Iota regularly visited a local assisted-living facility to help with cleaning and maintenance, and members also aided the Rolla elementary school with upkeep of their outdoor classroom. Sigma Pi exceeded the goal of recruiting 13 members for the year by focusing on improvements to the recruitment process, like increasing recruitment events and emphasizing values-based recruitment. With this new focus on recruitment, the chapter is confident that membership will continue to rise and be back above 50 members in just a few short years. With the conclusion of the 106th annual Best Ever St. Pat's, Alpha Iota would like to thank those alumni who visited the chapter and helped celebrate the holiday.
