TOPS summer schedule In Memoriam Funeral and cremation services were held Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Hollywood Forever in Los Angeles, Calif. for Dr. Puangtong Jutabha, special Quartzsite physician. Dr. P passed away late afternoon on April 1st at her home in Beverly Hills, Calif. She had a mas- sive cerebral hemorrhage on March 25 at the site of surgery performed February 21 to remove a large tu- mor on her brain. She was comfortable at home with her entire family and extended family members keep- ing vigil around the clock at the time of her passing. The monks who were patients at Valley Medical Center in Quartzsite conducted the services which were at- tended by a huge number of family and friends from all over the world. Dr. P's brother, Dr. Subin from Thailand, as well as her son-in-law David Michaels, from Thailand, were among those who gave meaningful eulogies and paid tribute to one of the greatest physi- cians of all time. Dr. P transcended all faiths, creeds and nationalities, and we trust that she is at peace in her well- deserved rest. Dr. P. is survived by her husband, Dr. Onas Jutabha, Beverly Hills, Calif. and Elsie Louise Sheppard Dr. Puangtong Jutabha Elsie Louise Sheppard was born Dec. 9, 1928 to Dow and Elsie Sheppard two miles west of Macomb, Oklahoma. She was the fi rst of fi ve little girls to join the home. The family lived the fi rst 14 years of her life on the farm. She is preceded in death by her parents, two older brothers and the youngest sister. They joyously welcomed her home in Heaven at 9:37 A,M. April 25, 2014. The Sheppards moved to California in July of 1943. She entered high school at Tulare . After two years, the fam- ily moved to Fresno, Ca. She graduated from Roosevelt High school in June of 1947. Then she returned to Tu- lare and attended Beauty College. After Louise became a licensed Beau- tician she worked several years and then followed her brothers and sisters, except Lou Ella, to the Bay area of Cali- fornia. After working for others several years, she opened her own Beauty Shop, Lu Anns, in Redwood City. She ran her business for thirty years until she retired in 1994. She then managed the Sonsetter Apts. for her brother-in- law until her move to Arizona in 2007. While Louise never married, she took pleasure in spoiling 14 nephews, 6 nieces, and 46 grand nieces and nephews. She was better than grand- parents because she was young enough to play games with them and join their mischief. She was well into spoiling the next generation when she moved to Arizona in 2007. Louise came to Quartzsite to bright- en our lives and became a beloved member of Quartzsite Southern Bap- tist in July of 2007. Louise was always learning new things. She took many courses but never toward a degree. She became a very talented artist and her family enjoyed many of her landscapes. Her brother- in-law, Stan, who also welcomed her into Heaven, enjoyed especially her pie making talent. She was accomplished with embroidery, knitting, Hook-latch and other crafting skills. She took many study courses with her church, but she is best remem- bered for her loving, patient, gracious, gentle walk with her Lord. Her life epitomized Christian teachings and principles. Louise will be missed by her siblings: Lou Ella Ayers of Quartzsite, Wilma Moss of Antioch, Ca., and Patricia Blackketter of Auburn, Ca.; 46 nieces and nephews, 30 Grand nieces and nephews and 7 great grand nieces and nephews; and many, many, friends from her eight and one half decades on this earth. Thank you, Dear Father, for sharing Louise with us. four children Roy in Bangkok, Thai- land; Dr. Rome Jutabha and his wife, Dr. Chiaki Jutabha and three daugh- ters, Beverly Hills, CA; Sally Michaels and her husband, David Michaels, and their four children, Bangkok, Thailand; and Charlie Jutabha and his two sons, Beverly Hills, CA. and other family members, as well as countless patients who were also friends.
