OPINION letters to the editor VANDALISM ALERT Vandalism is a cruel and destruc- tive act and certainly not funny--it is against the law. In the past four months someone, has crashed into the surrounding brick wall at the Covenant Lutheran Church. It is understandable that the fi rst time might have been an accident but when it happened in the same spot the second time I believe it was vandalism and reported to the Quartzsite Police Department. It cost the church $500.00 to repair it last time and that money could have been better spent providing food for our summer food bank program. Whoever has done this is not only damaging church prop- erty but also taking away from the fi nances that help this community. Now someone has broken one of the church windows the same week they destroyed part of the fence. It is really a shame that we are being targeted. It would be appreciated if any- one who lives near the area of the church would keep an eye out for future damage and if you have any information regarding who might have done this please contact the Quartzsite Police Department.
