Thanks to Dr. LeBlanc, I feel so much better--he was adamant that we should not cut it down since it is such a beauty and we will follow his instructions to see if we can keep it where it belongs--this is the very fi rst saguaro we planted in the Gardens, and we would hate to see it cut down if it is possible to at least preserve some of it for people to learn about and enjoy. I was so impressed with his expertise that I am hoping that he will come to Quartzsite this winter sometime and give a talk in the amphitheater about cacti and other desert plants so everyone can learn!!
