Contributed Photo 2013 best in Show winner was local resident Adam Wyman's "Sacred Stone Arches," taken at the Abbey of new Clairvaux in Vina. The Teha ma Count y Photo Club is once again in- viting photographers from around the world to enter photos in the 2014 Images from a Glass Eye Interna - tional Juried Photography Show. This year's juror is Ibarionex Perello. Photographers age 18 or older may enter images captured either digitally or on film, however all entries must be submitted online as a digital file. Submissions will be accepted through the competition's website w w w.imagesfroma glass - eye.org. For further require- ments, refer to the prospec- tus which can be found on the website. The deadline is June 16. Cost is $33 for the first 3 submissions and $8 for each additional entry. There is no limit on the number of en - tries per entrant. Entrants will be informed by July 1 of acceptance of their work into the show. The free public gallery show will feature the works selected by Perello. This year's show will be Aug. 8 to Oct. 17 at Tehama Country Visitor Center, 250 Antelope Blvd. in Red Bluff. Aug. 8 will be a free re - ception when the public will be able to meet many of the artists and ask questions about the photography on display. Awards will be pre - sented that night as follows: Best in Show $1,500, $500 for second place, $250 for third place and four awards of merit of $100. Perello is a photographer, writer educator and host of The Candid Frame Photog - raphy podcast. He has more than 25 years of experience in the photographic indus- try. His podcasts provide frank, insightful interviews with some of the industry's top established and emerg - ing photographers. Perello is also the au- thor of five books including: "Chasing the Light: Improv- ing Your Photography Using Available Light," "5D Mark III From Snapshot to Great Shots," and Adobe Master Class: Photoshop. He is also co-author of "Visual Sto - ries: Behind the Lens" with Vincent Laforet and "Road to Seeing" with Dan Win- ters. His photographs and articles have appeared in numerous publications and websites including Digital Photo Pro, Outdoor Photog - rapher, Rangefinder, Shut- terbug, Popular Photogra- phy, DP Review and Scott Kelby's Light It.
