I am from Mobile, Alabama, and have had the opportunity to serve the Chapter in many roles since joining. I have been pledge class president, vice archon, historian, and standards chairman. The experience I have gained through these past roles will help me guide the Chapter in the right direction this year. We initiated 40 new members into the Chapter in November, bringing the number of active Brothers up to 123 members. The undergraduate members of Omicron Chapter would like to thank the alumni who have made the new Chapter House a reality through their generous donations. Our years of hard work have earned Omicron the most spectacular fraternity house on campus. Visitors are speechless when touring our new home. As of spring 2014, we have a full house with 39 in-house Brothers. As we look towards the future, the Chapter has decided to sharpen our focus on philanthropy. Through the work of Brother Kevin Leach '10 as the philanthropy chairman, the Chapter has hosted numerous philanthropic events. In February the Brothers participated in Be the Match for bone marrow transplant and have hosted events at the new house for Best Buddies. We're looking forward to the remainder of this semester and preparations for next fall. Please come by and visit the house next time you are at the University of Alabama. We look forward to showing you our new home.
