The Club has a longstanding tradition of pro- viding scholarship funding to local graduating seniors. The Club sponsored three music nights to raise the funds for this worthwhile project. Two were held at the QIA and one at Salome High School. Club member Zee Pacheco was instrumental in arranging for local musicians and musical groups who donated their time and talent to assist in attaining the Club's goal for funding for these scholarships. "The Little Sisters", "The Gram- pas and Grammas", "The Desert Drifters" with the "Lemon Sisters", along with Cookie Shannon and her variety group were most gra- cious in providing the entertain- ment. Those in attendance were enthralled at the performances. QIA kindly provided the use of the venue as well as donating the proceeds of the concessions during the shows. Their support is truly appreciated. A skillfully crafted pine needle basket donated by Pam Caskey was a major plus in our fundrais- ing efforts. She and her commit- tee gathered many other raffl e prizes donated by club members and local businesses to given away at the fi nal music night. A spe- cial thanks to; Hardie's Bead and Jewelry, Southwest Silver, Main Street Eatery, Silly Al's Pizza, Jerry's Pizza and Wings, Times 3 Family Restaurant, Quartzsite General Store, Herb's Hardware, HWY 50/95 Rock Shop, American Custom Tire, T Rocks. Horizon Community Bank, Readers Oasis Books, Salome Restaurant, Jack's Collectibles, D & B Leather, Sunrise Trading and Addicted to Deals. This year's fundraising effort was a huge success with the support of Club members, the QIA, local busi- nesses and the citizens and visitors to the Town of Quartzsite. A big thank you to all who helped in any way with the Club's efforts.
