It's that time of the year. The fl owers are blooming, the wind is howling, the dust is swirling, and the sun is beating down on us reminding us that it will be hot again shortly. And soon the desert will be tranquil again. The plants and animals will brave the heat in peace and quiet, without the hustle and bustle of all of us winter visitors in- vading their space. The desert will recover in gentle solitude from all the "loving" it received within the past fi ve months. It's that time of the year when we can start to breathe again. We can sleep again, enjoy a little bit of free time again, talk to friends and family for more than 10 seconds at a time, and spend time with loved ones instead of just leaving mes- sages for them. And it's time to refl ect on the season. It was a good one this year, for many of us. We learned a lot, grew a lot, laughed a lot, and even cried some. We got to share some awesome experiences with you, and share in some of your adventures. We didn't throw any rocks at anyone this year, though we got close, and any year where we don't have to throw rocks at someone is a good year. Especially at a rock shop where there is an abundance of am- munition. Just kidding. Well, mostly anyway. And it's that time of the year when we say goodbye to all our customers and friends for another season, and we hope that we see you Heart shaped rocks & pans full of love ADVENTURES WITH ROCKS again next year. Most of you, anyway. Just kid- ding. And it is that time of year when we realize that we can't say enough thank Yous. You brought in some amazing rocks and minerals for us to enjoy. Thank you for sharing with us your gorgeous jewelry pieces, your fi rst faceted stone, or your fi rst cab. You re- ally are talented folks. Thanks for enter- taining us with your stories and adven- tures. Laughing with you made the days fun. Thank you for entrusting your equipment and tools to us to sell for you. Thank you for be- ing patient when orders were taking a long time. Thank you for believing in us, when sometimes we didn't believe in ourselves, and for your un- derstanding, in the middle of the whirlwind we call January, when you came to see if an order was in yet, and we smiled and said, innocent- ly, "Oh, were we ordering something for you?" Whoops. Thank you for your forgiveness when we misplace hat #82, or #53, or #26 of the 100 we are wearing at any one time. So…thank you for another successful season here in Quartzsite.
