Not only did we initiate a large class of associates, which I will let the president of the Chapter talk about, but we were also awarded the opportunity to host the Midwest Conclave. And as always, we invested into the house in upgrades and improvements for the members. In this Oracle is our president's message on the Chapter House; be sure to notice the GPA ranking for Alpha-Omicron. Beginning this fall semester we will be at full capacity with 70 members living in the house—the first time that has happened in many years—while our total membership is now over 120 members. neArly 200 men pArticipAte in cOnclAve Having the opportunity to host Conclave was a key win for the Chapter and another indicator that we are moving in the right direction. Several chapters bid for the event and the General Fraternity selected Alpha-Omicron. For those who are not familiar with this event, it is a gathering of Lambda Chi chapters from around the state and nearby chapters from bordering states. It is a chance for members of every chapter to improve their ritual, management and brotherhood skills. We have never hosted a Conclave in the modern history of Alpha-Omicron. We hosted 18 chapters and a total of 172 participants. Purple club ($500 and above) Wallace B. McClure Green club ($100 to $499) Loyd K. Stump, M.D. '50 Robert L. Morton '54 Lloyd H. Your ongoing and loyal support directly impacts the future of Alpha- Omicron. We thank the 37 donors who made gifts of $3,830 in our fall 2013 giving cycle. If an error has been made in recording your gift, we sincerely apologize. Please send corrections to Lambda Chi Alpha, P.O. Box 604, Naperville, IL 60566-0604. Thank you, again, for your support— it is making a difference. thAnk yOu, fAll 2013 AnnuAl cAmpAign dOnOrs chaPTer Wins Bid TO hOsT cOnclave Alpha-Omicron proud of recent Accomplishments chApter hOuse updAtes As is usual for an 80-year-old home, we have again embarked on additional renovations and improvements over the past six months. We replaced all of the main treads and landings on the back stairwell, as well as the stairs leading down to the dining room from the first floor. Those were the same stairs from my days at the house in the early '80s. We finally ripped out the second floor shower and have fixed the leak into the mail room. The Big Red hallway now has new lighting and walls. These projects would not be possible without the support from our alumni. A huge thank-you to all who continue to support AO! chApter WelcOmes six legAcies I would be remiss not to mention that we have several new legacies who have been initiated or signed bid cards for the Chapter. At this point we have six legacies either initiated or signed beginning this semester. At the top of that list we find our new president, Will Disinger '15, following in the footsteps of his father, Bob Disinger '83. If you are in the area, please stop in to see what changes we have made and visit with the great group of men at Alpha-Omicron.
