Quartzsite - Southwestern Roundup Art Show was
visited by over 250 guests. The event was held Febru-
ary 28 & March 1st at the Mountain Quail Cafe and
RV Park. Come rain or shine the guests came with
nonperishable foods in hand, played Artist Scavenger
Hunts, bought Raffl e Tickets, Books from the Authors
and Art from the variety of work shown in the 15 Artist
booths on display.
The show offered four chances
to win a Raffl e price. The winner
of the Original Burro Painting,
by Christine Schlageter went to
Jeannie Carr. Sandi Ricker won
a Sterling Silver and Turquoise
Pendent donated by Hardies. Kathy
O'Keefe took home a handcrafted
of fi ne wood truck by Earl Schmidt.
D. Chamberline received a Thun-
der Drum by Artist Pam Froom.
Congratulations to all four winners,
as well as the 22 door prize winners
thanks to the community support
of gifts and gift certifi cates.
The raffl e raised not only enough
funds to donate to the Food Bank
of Quartzsite, and also donations
to Celia's Rainbow Gardens. $850
total. Norm Simpson, owner of the
Cafe and RV Park, presented the
donations on Friday March 14th,
2014. The cart full of food goods
will also be delivered to the food
bank. The community support in
this small desert town cannot be
matched. Our heartfelt Thanks to
everyone that made this event a
special occasion.
Charlene Morrison will be show-
ing her Watercolor Fine Art from
March 15th through the end of the
month. April you can visit the work
of Nan Burrows Acrylic Desert
Scenes. All art pieces are for sale
and don't forget to see what's new
in the gift shop while you dine.
