The event was held Febru- ary 28 & March 1st at the Mountain Quail Cafe and RV Park. Come rain or shine the guests came with nonperishable foods in hand, played Artist Scavenger Hunts, bought Raffl e Tickets, Books from the Authors and Art from the variety of work shown in the 15 Artist booths on display. The show offered four chances to win a Raffl e price. The winner of the Original Burro Painting, by Christine Schlageter went to Jeannie Carr. Sandi Ricker won a Sterling Silver and Turquoise Pendent donated by Hardies. Kathy O'Keefe took home a handcrafted of fi ne wood truck by Earl Schmidt. D. Chamberline received a Thun- der Drum by Artist Pam Froom. Congratulations to all four winners, as well as the 22 door prize winners thanks to the community support of gifts and gift certifi cates. The raffl e raised not only enough funds to donate to the Food Bank of Quartzsite, and also donations to Celia's Rainbow Gardens. $850 total. Norm Simpson, owner of the Cafe and RV Park, presented the donations on Friday March 14th, 2014. The cart full of food goods will also be delivered to the food bank. The community support in this small desert town cannot be matched. Our heartfelt Thanks to everyone that made this event a special occasion. Charlene Morrison will be show- ing her Watercolor Fine Art from March 15th through the end of the month. April you can visit the work of Nan Burrows Acrylic Desert Scenes. All art pieces are for sale and don't forget to see what's new in the gift shop while you dine.
