Main Street Tournament director, Jerry Taylor, said the tournament originated last year when everyone wanted to do something to celebrate the end of the season. They wanted to play both Rainbow Acres and Quartzsite #1. At fi rst, the idea was to play the Ameri- cans versus Canadians, but there were not enough Canadians. Then it was Quartzsite versus Rainbow Acres, but there were not enough Rainbow Acres players. Next it was East against the West, but there were not enough East- erners. Kit Wilkins suggested why not do "good guys/gals" against "bad guys/ gals" and players can choose their own teammate and sign up under either GOLF FROM PAGE 10 category. And thus was born the "Good Guys/ Bad Guys" celebration tourna- ment. Last year there were 20 players on the fi rst day and 22 on the second day. This year we had 37 sign up the fi rst day and 40 for the second day.
