During 2013, alumni showed their enthusiastic support of the chapter by contributing $10,331. The accomplishments and successes enjoyed by Pi Chapter are directly attributed to the ongoing and loyal support from the chapter's alumni. Thank You, Annual Campaign Donors W e have some very exciting events taking place in April. Little 500 Celebration This year marks the 50th anniversary of Beta Theta Pi's first Little 500 victory in 1964. It is also the one year anniversary of our Little 500 victory in 2013. To commemorate the achievements of the riders from both of these teams, a celebration will be held on Friday, April 25, in Bloomington. All alumni are encouraged to join the chapter for drinks, appetizers, a silent auction, and also attend the 2014 Little 500 race on Saturday the 26th. The celebration will be held at the Baker Place Guest House located at 115 S. Walnut Street, Bloomington. Alumni Recognition Ceremony The second event for this spring will take place on the first weekend in May. Mark your calendars for Saturday, May 3, for the Pi Chapter Alumni Recognition ceremony. During this time the chapter will com- memorate Brandt Downey '68 and the late George Bledsoe '62 for their many achievements and their dedication to the Pi Chapter. The ceremony will be held at the Indiana Memorial Union in the Frangipani room from 1-3 p.m. A brunch will be included and all are welcome to return to the chapter house following the ceremony.
