Kansas sig alpha Xi Chapter of sigma Chi P.O. Box 1593 Lawrence, Ks 66044 Address Service Requested Forrest M. Hardacre '38 entered Chapter Eternal on august 7, 2011. He joined the navy on May 6, 1943, and served in shanghai for three years as a harbor master. He also served as a cargo officer on a liberty ship and was at the Battle of Midway. shortly after, Forrest began coaching and teaching high school in ness City, smith Center, Junction City, Hutchinson, and at McPherson College. He also owned and operated Zesto in Hutchinson, which was popular for its five cent ice cream cone. in 1970, Forrest married Margaret Cochran and moved to Denver, Colorado, where he began teaching at Bear Creek High school. He organized and started tri-state basketball for the Bear Valley Optimist Club and served as president of the Denver SC alumni group. He loved church activities, golfing, dancing, back-packing, and gardening, as well as, woodworking and home repair. Donald G. Livingston '47, a longtime resident of Morristown, n.J., entered Chapter Eternal on august 24, 2011, at the age of 84. He and his wife of 64 years, Tassie, met at the University of Kansas, where Don received his bachelor's, master's, and Ph.D. degrees in psychology. Don enlisted in the navy in 1944 and served in the navy Reserve until his family moved to scotland in 1962. in 1951, he moved to Morristown and accepted a position at Prudential in newark. He also taught statistics, organizational behavior, and manufacturing management at stevens institute of Technology and Rutgers. From 1962 to 1966, Don was a labor productivity consultant in scotland and England. Following his return to Morristown in 1966, he served as the senior human resources officer for several companies, including Curtiss-Wright Corporation, apollo Technologies, and the Customer service Division of TRW inc. He was a longtime volunteer at the Morristown Library and was a disaster response crisis counselor and volunteer in the n.J. Medical Reserve Corps. Richard L. Moore '57 entered Chapter Eternal on august 1, 2012, in Mcallen, Texas. at 18, Dick met the love of his life, Lynda Ball, and married her as soon as he graduated from college. One of his greatest joys was his 11 grandchildren. Together they had many adventures: traveling the globe on vacations, sailing the seas on cruises, hiking the Rockies while visiting his brother, Mike, riding in his Model a around town, having picnics in the backyard, enjoying holidays with food and fun, eating popcorn around the TV, and swimming in his pool. Dick served as a Mcallen Chamber of Commerce greeter, president of the Hidalgo County Builder's association, on the Mcallen Public Utility board, Mcallen Planning and Zoning board, and as a commissioner for Water District #3. He also volunteered with the Mcallen Boys and girls Club and was their santa Claus at Christmas for many years. Throughout his career, he worked in agriculture (Moore Canning Company) and real estate (HomeFinders Realty), but his true passion was building beautiful homes. James F. Buescher '69 entered Chapter Eternal on January 1, 2014, at the age of 68. He was a partner and chief operating officer at Promoshop. James led a number of California-based companies throughout his career, including Hazel inc., gift-0-Rama/Monogram, and idea Man inc. He held leadership positions at the santa Fe springs Chamber of Commerce, the Young Presidents' Organization, and the specialty advertising association of California (saaC). in his free time, he enjoyed sports, spending time at the beach, exercise, and international travel. Doug Miller '71 has been honored with admittance into the Order of Constantine for his 25+ years of service to alpha Xi and will be recognized at the event. We will also recognize David Wysong, Alpha Xi '71, for his significant sig award, as well as the commitment and sacrifice of our past and future alpha Xi brothers who have served in the armed forces with the dedication of the UsaF Major Richard "Rocky" Claflin scholarship thought the Folds of Honor Foundation.
