PAGE 5 sigma alpha epsilon Chapter eternal Raymond E. Wise Jr. '43 entered Chapter Eternal on January 22, 2013. His wife, Harriet, said he loved his SAE connections and is probably singing SAE songs with his brothers in Heaven. Everett C. Chaffin '51 entered Chapter Eternal on April 19, 2012. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Everett was a resident of San Diego, Calif. Charles E. Hood '61 entered Chapter Eternal on October 10, 2013. He was professor emeritus and former dean of the University of Montana School of Journalism. He traveled extensively and worked in Kumamoto and Tokyo, Japan; in Prague, Czech Republic; and in Paris, France. He was known for being a kind and knowledgeable teacher with a passion for making sure students knew how to get the facts to tell a good story, how to make a complex issue understandable, and how to do so with good humor and good grammar. Charles is survived by his wife, Joan, sons, Kevin and Brian, daughter, Hadley, and granddaughter, Sarah. Boyd Roth '61 entered Chapter Eternal on September 24, 2013. He was an active mental-health advocate, heading both NAMI Flathead and the Northwest Citizens Advisory Council for mental health issues. Boyd is survived by his wife, Linda, twin sister, Sue, and countless family and friends. Robert Anderson '67 entered Chapter Eternal on October 11, 2013, after a rollover vehicle accident in Tanzania, Africa. His wife, Grace, was injured but survived. Just before the accident, Bob and Grace had summitted 19,400 ft. Mt. Kilimanjaro in celebration of Bob's 70th birthday. He was a great friend, an avid mountain climber, conservationalist, and author with a real love of the outdoors. Bob played a key role in saving the Yellowstone River from a dam and, as a result, it is still the longest free-flowing river in the U.S. Bob is survived by, Grace, and his children, Crystal and Scott. alumni news Richard J. Barney '58 resides in Green Valley, Ariz., with his wife, Marilyn. They have enjoyed the Arizona sunshine since they moved there in 2000. E-mail: dmbarney@gmail.com Lawrence "Pete" Mooney '58 retired in August 2011 after 52 years as a physical therapist. Pete and his wife, Jeanna, live in Las Vegas, Nev. Gary G. Fish '62 is still retired and does a lot of acting. In 2013, he was in three plays and one musical. Gary hopes to keep acting as long as possible. He and his wife, Alaete, reside in Livingston, Mont.
