The basket- ball playoffs were also on Friday at Yavapai College. The students will be taking their AIMs tests February 25th and 26th for reading and writ- ing. Softball and baseball seasons have started and the fi rst softball game will be February 26th, at Su- perior, and the fi rst baseball game will be February 28th, at Salome High School. The sports awards presented at the Sports Banquet March 4, 2014, will be posted at a later date. The softball and baseball seasons have nearly begun, and the players are excited for their fi rst games. The students have been practicing hard, and doing their best on and off the fi eld. The fi rst softball and base- ball games were one week after the basketball Playoffs at the Yavapai College. The girls basketball team practiced hard for the playoffs, and they gave it their all! Results to be posted at a later date. Track season has also begun at Sa- lome High School. The track team has been practicing their running and getting back into shape af- ter the Winter Break and four day weekend which everyone was able to enjoy. The fi rst Track meet will be held on March 6th, in Wicken- burg. The National Honor Society had their Roadside cleanup with the as- sistance of the Art Club where more than ten students attended the vol- unteer service. Art Club has been working on the Vans shoes for the Vans Custom Culture Competition. The fi nished artwork will be sub- mitted later in the year.
