phase 1 highlights
(Completed Summer 2012)
• Bedrooms – Complete renovation of all seventh-floor
bedrooms, including new desks and bookcases, built-in
beds, dressers, closets, wood blinds and floors
• additional Bedrooms – Conversion of two sixth-floor
sleeping dorms into sleep-in bedrooms with all of the new
décor listed above
• dining room – Complete renovation of the dining room,
including new tables and chairs, chandeliers, buffet station
and décor
• living room – New draperies, chandeliers,
and wall treatments
• guest Bedroom – New side table, new mattress and
bedding, and new bath furnishings
• heating & Cooling – Upgrade the system and repair the
duct system (additional upgrades continue to be needed)
phase 2 highlights

• Bedrooms – Complete renovation of all fifth-floor
bedrooms, including new desks and bookcases, built-in
beds, dressers, closets, wood blinds and floors
• additional Bedrooms – Conversion of the two remaining
sleeping dorms into sleep-in bedrooms with all of the new
décor listed above
• structural repairs – Windows, exterior walls
• lighting – Install safety lighting in the parking area
phase 3 highlights
• study room – Conversion and expansion of the library
into a technically equipped group study room with
upgraded Internet access
• powder room – Renovation to include updated fixtures,
new lighting, mirrors, carpet, and décor
• Chapter room – Create a library area that would include
study tables and chairs, lounge chairs, new lighting and
bookcases, upgraded Internet access, plus new carpet and
window treatments for the entire area
• laundry room – Expand the room for an additional
washer and dryer
• Kitchenettes – Create small kitchen areas on the fifth and
seventh floors for snack preparation
• structural repairs – Wall, patio, and foundation repairs
• storage – Create storage area in the basement
