Our Challenges and Opportunities T he experience of being a member of Alpha Gamma goes well beyond the bricks and mortar of our Lodge. We had an excellent experience and thrived not because of the Lodge, but because of the brotherhood we shared. Likewise, the new members of Alpha Gamma have grown together and will continue to have an excellent fraternity experience even without a Lodge. Alpha Gamma will utilize campus facilities and focus on operations until it once again has its own Lodge to call home on the Ole Miss campus. Our previous Lodge was deemed unsuitable for occupancy after many years of use. It was a difficult decision to have the Lodge removed from campus, but we were able to save the costs of removal and property maintenance by allowing the University to complete the work for us. We have maintained our lot, one of the most desirable on campus, and have always planned to build new when the time is right for Alpha Gamma. A fraternity cannot survive and thrive on the Ole Miss campus without a competitive facility to call home. We recognize this is not something that can be changed overnight, but we now have a plan to secure our future, and we urge all Alpha Gamma alumni to thoughtfully consider your role in supporting this important project. This is an opportunity to build a secure future for Chi Psi at Ole Miss by ensuring future generations of Alpha Gamma Brothers can share the same experiences we were privileged to enjoy. By building a competitive, safe, and modern facility on our lot, we will ensure our student members recruit the best men on campus through a values-based recruiting approach. A new Lodge also presents alumni with a place to call home on game days and other occasions in Oxford. Our new Lodge will be a proud symbol of our vision for excellence on the Ole Miss campus. However, we can only complete this project with the support of alumni and friends of Alpha Gamma. Our plan for excellence T he Alumni Association of Alpha Gamma has developed a solid plan to address the long-term viability of the Alpha Gamma experience on the Ole Miss campus. Through careful study, assessment, and planning, it has been determined that a new Lodge must be built to ensure a successful return for Alpha Gamma. Working with Robert Cunningham of Cunningham + Associates Architects, the New Lodge Planning Committee has developed a tactical approach to our future.
