She is survived by her husband Elmer; son Steve (Maureen) of Seattle; daughter Carolyn Guthrie (Randy) of Quartzsite; son Leslie (Vinna) of Winchester, Idaho; daughter Manell (Eric) Dickson of Redmond, Oregon; and honorary daughter Carol London-Raczkowski, Mount Vernon, Washington. Margaret was born the ninth of 10 children to Clarence and Myrtle Prather on November 17, 1921 in East Wenatchee, Washington; however, most of her childhood was spent in Port Townsend, Washington. The family eventu- ally moved to Bellingham, Wash- ington, where she graduated from Bellingham High in 1941. She is survived by sister Laura Rogers of Bellingham. Margaret married Elmer in Seattle on October 16, 1942. After World War II they settled in the Seattle area where they raised their four kids. Margaret was the fi rst woman school bus driver for Bel- levue School District in Washing- ton and retired in 1980. She enjoyed her retirement, mo- tor-homing around the US and spending time with her grandkids. Motor-homing brought Margaret and Elmer to Quartzsite where they eventually bought a house in 1987. She will be missed by the many friends and family she leaves behind. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers of Hos- pice of Havasu (Parker offi ce) for the loving care given their wife and mother. At Margaret's request there will be no service.
