Founded in 1971, WACOG is a governmental non-profit that is dedicated to serving its local jurisdictions, income challenged households, and vulnerable populations in Yuma, La Paz, and Mohave Counties. WACOG provides Transit planning to local governments and non-profit agencies within the WACOG region. WACOG annually oversees several transit programs including Section Quartzsite, AZ - The Town of Quartzsite has received an award from Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) Transportation and Transit Program. The award was given for the Most Improved 5310 Transportation Program in the entire WACOG region. Town Manager Laura Bruno (above right) honored Janet Collier (above left), Quartzsite Transit Coordinator, at the Town Council's meeting on December 24th . Bruno stated that Collier is the one who was instrumental in making the improvements to the Transit Program.
