Quartzsite Quilters updates
Jan 7- Bonnie's Fabrics on
Wheels will be present but no
classes have been scheduled.
Jan 14- Charm Square
Exchange.
Jan 21- Trunk show by 2 Sisters
and Kat. They will teach a star
block afterwards. The pattern
will cost $5. This event will be
for members only; of course new
members may join at any meeting for $10/year.
Jan 28- Members Rummage
Sale.
Jan 31- Bus Trip.
The spider web lap quilt (photo
left) made for the benefit of the
Quartzsite Food Bank has proved
to be very popular. It was hand
quilted by our prize winning quilter
Janet Nieuwenhoff.
To get a chance to win this wonderful prize you must bring a can
of food to a Tuesday meeting or to
the Quilt Show February 7 &
8, 2014. The more cans you bring
in the more chances you will have.
The drawing will be at the conclusion of the show.
This is a great opportunity to
support the local Food Bank and
maybe you will be the lucky winner
of this quilt.
Art Guild updates
After a great summer for most of us,
we are ready to get back to the business of " Art ".
The annual Quartzsite Art Guild
Show and Sales is rapidly approaching.
The dates for this years show
are Fri. Jan 10th (9am to 4pm)
and Sat, Jan 11th (9am to 3pm).
We will have our usual nifty Door
Prizes and of course the $50.00 Cash
Raffle. Tickets will be available at
the show at the Senior Center on Moon
Mountain Rd. This is always a wonderful Fine Art gathering, and an opportunity to view some wonderful art and
visit with the artists.
Don't forget to see the displays of art
in the Horizon Community Bank. For
