Hunt, Jimmy Martin WADESBORO — An unusually warm evening greeted the Brothers, wives, and guests October 5 at the front of Kilwinning 64 here. Lodge members had assembled with their friends at the lodge cornerstone to observe the rededication of the lodge by then Grand Master Dewey R Preslar Jr. Preslar announced the gathering to celebrate the 200 th anni- versary of Kilwinning Lodge. Kilwinning Lodge was chartered December 11, 1813. After the opening ceremony, everyone entered the lodge dining hall and enjoyed a anksgiving-style meal. Past Grand Master W. Berry Rigdon was the evening's speaker. He gave a brief history of the lodge and reminded them of how important Masonry should be to us all. e lodge widows in attendance were recognized. e evening's highlight was the dedication of the lodge's new library to Ed McBride. Grand Marshal Speed Hallman an- nounced the honor for McBride's many years dedicated service. McBride was also presented his Diamond Jubilee for 60 years membership by the then Grand Master Dewey Preslar Jr. and Kilwinning Lodge's current Master P. Colson Dunlap. More than 80 members and guests attended. After all the formal ceremonies were complete, they all enjoyed the blue- grass band which performed in the main lodge room. — Hal L. Dunlap Kilwinning 64 celebrates 200 th anniversary Oxford 122 entertains footballers OXFORD — The J. F. Webb High School football team here reaches out to local organizations during their season for ways to connect with the community. Oxford 122 was proud to support their local team by making a dinner for them before their September 6 game. The coaches, team members, and managers were treated to a hearty meal and good fellowship at the lodge. — Rich Weaver Revolution 552 attacks litter GREENSBORO — Revolution 552 recently had their quar- terly trash pick up on the road in front of the lodge.
