Diabetes Increases Your Risk for High Blood Pressure Local physicians are studying the investigational use of two approved and marketed high blood pressure medica- tions in people with type 2 diabetes. You may be eligible to participate in this study if you have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and have, or think you may have, high blood pressure. To qualify you must be on a stable diabetes treatment, but not taking insulin. Qualifi ed participants receive study-related care, includ- ing physical exams, lab services and high blood pressure medication at no cost. You will also continue taking your diabetes medication. GOUT You may qualify if: •You are male 18 years or older •You are female 45 years or older •Have had one gout experience    This clinic is conducting a clinical research study.
