P 4 CHRISTMAS GREETINGS FROM PO The Quartzsite Post Office employees are sending the community and win- ter visitors wishes for a Very Merry Christmas and a New Year of miracles. Thank you for your business, we ap- preciate you. Maribel, Postmaster, Ruben and our new employee Jim; Clerks and the three Casual Clerks Sybil, Becky and Anna. MERRY CHRISTMAS RECOGNITION FOR BURGER KING Dear Editor This letter in response to the let- ter about Burger King, I have been in Burger King on at least 4 times when at least 1 bus load of Lake Havasu athletes stopped in for lunch. Seems to me that would deserve some recognition. After all it was just a sign. As for supporting the local schools, I would imagine they would be offered employment when they graduate. I .DM. THE PEOPLE’S VOICE don’t think they import their help from Havasu. Sincerely, Les Leaf THANKS FOR THE VOTES! I just want to give a warm thanks to everyone who voted for the $50K Pepsi Art Grant and everyone who helped to get the word out (Rain, Buzz and Mary, and Joann especially). Even though we didn’t get the grant, it wasn’t because we didn’t try!!! Our wonderful com- munity of friends and neighbors ral- lied together to try to pull it off. I’ll be submitting the application again in the Spring so we’ll need to rally again for our Quartzsite Elementary School stu- dents who need the financial support of the grant and the opportunity to make their “Dreams of Art” come true. Again, thank you for your support of EMUnique by Clover Creek Emu, LLC See Us @ Rice Ranch A-41 Oil of EMU is a natural Anti-inflammatory, Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Viral Topical. One is located at Horizon Community Bank and the other one is at Silly Al’s. The students did a great job and they need a big round of applause for their effort. They had a lot of help from Proud Neighbors of Quartzsite for the oppor- tunity to paint the rocks and without PNQ’s help, it never would have hap- pened. What a wonderful community we live in! Linda Ward Ehrenberg QUICK THANK YOU AND REMINDER We at the animal shelter would like to thank the Quartzsite Clowns retirement fund for the gracious money donation. We were able to purchase much needed items, such as, Cat Litter, Wet cat food, Wet dog food, and Kitten Chow. Thank you soooo much. A reminder for the community. We are not supported by any other means, other than contributions from you, the community. Observing some of you in the post office is horrifying. Please remember your manners when at the Quartzsite Post Office. The employees are doing the very best that they can and truly want to help you. If YOU marked the WRONG box when closing your box its not the post office employees fault so please treat them with kindness and re- spect. YOU are the one who marked the wrong box, the employees are following the rules and YOUR request to close the box permanently. If your old box num- ber was given out then they cannot do anything about it. They followed your request to close it permanently and gave the box to someone else.
