The of St. Pius X Students created a balloon rosary and released it into the September sky. After it was released, students joined together in prayer. Future Is Bright for St. Pius X Catholic School J uly 1, 2010, seems like yesterday. It was my first day at St. Pius, there were 188 students registered for the upcoming school year, and I was not sure I was in the right place because the school sign had been knocked over. The original church, which had been converted to a gym many years ago, was about to be torn down. This demolition project would join what I was told was an eyesore of apartments that came down a few months prior. upgrading religion curriculum. At a recent NCEA conference, a speaker highlighted that it was every staff member's responsibility at a Catholic school to promote our Catholic identity. It was very refreshing to be able to share thoughts and plans with so many faithful people; our future is bright.   Fast forward three years, our enrollment is now at 333 students—a 77% growth rate! The new building and signage leave no doubt that you have arrived at St. Pius X Catholic Church and School, and it is beautiful! New apartments are being constructed and we look forward to meeting new neighbors.  Most importantly, I'm glad that we have so many people at St. Pius X who are passionate about providing our children with a Catholic education. The core values that are instilled in our students now as a result of a Christ-centered education are so important. St. Pius X is about much more than just report cards; we prepare responsible, faith-filled individuals to become successful leaders in the community. I am confident that the opportunities for current and future St. Pius X students are endless. Those are just a handful of some of the accomplishments I have seen over the last few years. One thing that has happened behind the scenes that I am particularly proud of is the growth of our religion committee. My first year, Teresa Hinojosa was the lone school employee working with the church planning liturgies, faith formation activities, and Mr. Tom Deming Principal "To restore all things in Christ" – Pope Pius X
