"My approach to contemporizing antique elements is primarily making them appropriate
for modern life; less about updating the look,
more interpreting these fragile elements in a
way that can stand up to daily activities. We
use a lot of matte finishing on our metal, with
polished details around the stones, and this
contrast in finishes can add a modern twist to
the feminine delicate pieces. I am passionate
about rose cuts due to their inherent beauty
and personality. My favorite old stones have
warmth to them; ironically that 'color' is something that in modern times might be seen as
undesirable or lesser quality. But, an imperfect
