Rutherford Weekly BOBBY GENE BRADLEY, SR. Bobby Gene Bradley, Sr., age 58, of Spindale, NC, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013. Born June 21, 1955 in Newark, NJ, he was a son of the late James Bradley and Inez Adams Bradley who resides in Rutherford County. He worked in textiles most of his life and was a Baptist. He enjoyed dirt track racing, fishing, yard work and hunting. Bobby loved spending time with his family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Avant; brother, Jimmy Bradley and mother-in-law, Geneva Martin. Besides his mother, survivors include his wife, of thirty-four years, Susan Bradley; daughter, Amy Bradley of Spindale; two sons, Bobby Gene Bradley, Jr. and wife, Amber of Cliffside and Jesse Lee Bradley and wife, Kim of Rutherfordton; three brothers, Johnny Bradley, James Bradley and Thomas Sims; five sisters, Judy Bradley, Patsy Reid, Linda Sobleski, Delores Crotts and Debbie Bradley. He is also survived by ten grandchildren. DEL FOWLER Del Fowler, age 54, of Forest City, NC, passed a w a y Sunday, October 20, 2013. Born December 27, 1958 in Greenville County, SC, he was a son of the late Danny Delano Fowler, Sr. and Geraleen Norton Fowler. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1977 and played trumpet in the high school band. He was a carpet installer most of his life and also worked in textiles. Del was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spindale and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, enjoyed golfing and watching NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Kennedy. Survivors include his wife, Denise Ward Fowler; two step-daughters, Amber Stroud and husband, Chad of Forest City and Amanda Wingo and husband, Neil of Mooresboro; step-son, Cecil Gamble of Forest City; brother, Joel Fowler and wife, Deanna of Forest City; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Andy Evans and Reverend Rick Owens officiating. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Johnny Bradley, Angie Butler, Pherson Weathermon, Renee Putman, Marina Weatherman, Cam Weatherman, Christy Fonteney, Toby Terry, Michelle Johnson, Wayne Finley and eighteen great-grandchildren. Born May 13, 1933 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Enoch McDaniel and Viola Searcy McDaniel. She was a faithful member of Crossway Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting and reading her Bible. Sarah was especially known as a prayer warrior. It all adds up! We are a debt relief agency. A native of Rockingham County, NH, he was the son of the late Frank and Bertha Salo Cole. He was a carpenter. Born August 24, 1934 in Rutherford County, NC, he was a son to the late Samuel Lee Phillips and Lois Ruppe Phillips. He worked in textiles most of his life.
