Set in the 1950s, Fences explores the evolving African-American experience, among other themes. The production won the 1987 Tony Award for Best Play as well as other Tony Awards. Nov. 26 — Dec.12 A Christmas Carol The Gilbert Theater’s production of this holiday classic will open during downtown Fayetteville’s annual Dickens’ Holiday.
