THE BETA BEAT ALUMNI SUPPORT LEADS TO CHAPTER SUCCESS W Montana Beta Established as Top Fraternity at University elcome, alumni! Thank you for your generous commitment. I am proud to be the current president of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and with you behind me, I know Montana Beta will be the top fraternity at the University of Montana. The chapter had a great spring semester and is looking for that success to continue this year. With 13 new members from the previous year, and a recruitment plan to repeat last fall's success, SAE is quickly establishing itself as a premier recruiting organization. FALL 2012 Austin Albrecht Minneapolis, Minn. Nathan Hovsepian Seattle, Wash. Mike Kiesel Chapter Emphasized Strong Membership Development Montana Beta's focus on membership development and leadership was prevalent when we sent three members (one ambassador, two attendees) to the John Moseley Leadership School in August and one member to the 2013 SAE Convention as a delegate. The chapter greatly benefitted from the knowledge gained at these events and looks forward to sharing it with you. Chicago, Ill. Brothers Connor Klink '15, Tucker Finley '14, and Jeremy Stewart '15 celebrate at Montana Beta's Christmas function. Phoenix, Ariz. Oakland, Calif. Nicholas Popejoy With a GPA boost of half a point (2.6), there has been extra emphasis placed on scholarship in the fall. The chapter has made strides, allowing for bolder and a more hands-on approach to keep the upward momentum. Montana Beta's dedication to grade improvement has been uplifting and encouraging for the future. Chicago, Ill. Kevin Roe Chicago, Ill. SPRING 2013 SAE's largest achievement in the eyes of the chapter has been community service. As a house of 24 members, the chapter completed over 400 hours of community service last semester while partnering with the Flagship Program at C.S. Porter Middle School, doing mentorship and tutoring programs for underprivileged youth. Flagship will be the chapter's base this year, though far from its only service project. Casey Roe Chicago Ill. Derek Salge Muncie, Ind. Jonathan Scheidigger This year will be huge for Montana Beta. Every facet of fraternity life will take a gigantic leap forward, as we focus on grades, community service, and recruitment. On behalf of the chapter, I welcome alumni who would like to be a part of the experience to give us a call or e-mail and stop by. We would love to have you.
