Natalie Corson Laphan '56 entered Chapter
Eternal on December 29, 2012. She is survived
by her husband of 32 years, Stephen, five children, and nine grandchildren.

Park, a retirement home. "I enjoy volunteering
at the Meals on Wheels office of Wesley Community Services."

Eloise Simmons Duff '45 moved with her husband, Russell, to a retirement community this
year. "Hale and hearty, no illnesses," and she still
swims regularly at 86. She retired from corporate
art direction in 1987, then worked for 30 years as
a docent at the San Diego Museum of Art. She
has traveled "most of this beautiful world and
is grateful for great friends and family." E-mail:

Mary Ellen Murphy Evans '46 spends the summer at Okobosi and one month during the winter
in Tucson, Ariz., where her son and his family
live. "We are still great Hawkeye fans! In 1989,
I graduated from the University of Iowa along
with my youngest daughter."
Josephine Frush Lord '56 and her husband,
Dick, spend summers at Gull Lake near Broinerd,
Minn. Every summer is a family reunion with the
four Lord kids and their children meeting at the
lake. "We are six cottages west of Grand View

Tucky Wheeler Hobbs '60 was thrilled to help

Carolyn Rabe Hock '61 occasionally meets
sisters Eve Anderson Glesne '59 and Barb
Horn Avery '60 for lunch and reminiscing, both
live in the Denver, Colo., area. She saw Tucky
Wheeler Hobbs '60 at a national Gamma Phi

Dale Soderstrom Grimm '63 is a naturalist
teaching environmental education to K8 at 300
Acre School Forest. "Phil and I own a farm
where we are doing prairie, wetland, and savanna
restorations."
Tory Holland Hurst '67 hasn't retired "yet!"
After getting two new hips in 2011, she became
certified to teach aquatic exercise in Colorado and

Linda LuceSolis '67 is still working but hopes
to retire soon. She enjoys the Gamma Phi

Gina Farris Wetzel '85 has lived in Peoria, Ill.,
since graduating. She and her husband, John, have
three sons. Their middle son, Daniel, is a freshman at Iowa. Gina would love to reconnect with

Darcy Evans Nelson '87 is very busy with
two travel hockey and lacrosse players in the
house. She is excited that last fall she joined
the House Corporation at the Beta Eta Chapter
(Bradley University) in Peoria, Ill. "I have met
many Gamma Phi alumnae from many areas."
