It meant joining a group of men who valued education, not depending on mom and dad to completely earn their college degree. The Brothers marched to the beat to a different drum than other fraternity men at Arkansas, achieving a sense of pride from being Alpha Iota members. "I felt like I should be held to a higher standard. Just by attending the University of Arkansas I felt like I 2 ALPHA IOTA was getting a superior education compared to other schools in Arkansas." Alpha Iota opened doors for Corbin's career. After graduation, he worked with the State Plant Board, Farm Bureau, and the co-op boards outside his local county. "AGR introduced me to the movers and shakers of Arkansas agriculture and allowed me to learn and become a part of it."
