Talley Center for Leadership Development and the Fayetteville Lafayette Society present Lieutenant General Russell Honore' United States Army, Retired. Known as the "Category 5 General," because of his work after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, he is a nationally renowned speaker on preparedness and leadership. September 6-8 Greek Festival Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church announce the 23rd Annual Greek Fest held on church grounds on Friday, 11 a.m.10 p.m., Saturday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. and Sunday noon-6 p.m. Highlights will include authentic Greek food and pastries along with Greek and American beer and wine, live music, dancing and a Grecian marketplace. The festival is free, but raffle tickets will be available for $5 and put into a drawing for a trip to Athens. September 7 Festival of Yesteryear: A Celebration of Early America Featuring both the Colonial Period and the War of 1812, visitors to the Museum of the Cape Fear will understand how a fledgling country gained its independence entered into a second war with Great Britain only 30 years after winning the Revolutionary War.
