giving In the Healing Business O Fayetteville Supports Breast Cancer Awareness BY Courtney Phillips ctober is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the business community of Fayetteville recognizes the importance of supporting women in the fight of their lives. Tara Hinton, Coordinator of Friends of the Cancer Center of the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation, confirmed, "There is no feeling like hearing from a breast cancer survivor that you changed their life." Hinton noted that, "many businesses in Fayetteville choose to support the Breast Care Center of Cape Fear Valley, and Friends of the Cancer Center of the Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation because all money raised directly affects the lives of local women and their families – contributions fund free mammograms, free wigs, turbans, hats and scarves, gas vouchers, emergency utility and rent relief, spiritual support and even massage therapy."
