Swampdogs Women's Basketball A.B.C. Boxing Academy Hendrick Chrysler Jeep ceeds benefit Breast Care Center patients at Cape Fear Valley. Talk of the Town Salon at 3441 Ramsey Street will hold raffles, sell t-shirts and accept donations from clients during the month of October to provide free mammograms to patients of the Breast Care Center. "We do anything we can to get our clients in and we decorate the salon pink," said owner and stylist Casey Etheridge. The month-long event is held in honor of a beloved Talk of the Town Salon client who received treatment at Cape Fear Valley. Cape Fear High School Huske Hardware House Restaurant Hendrick Chrysler Jeep will hold their yearly, monthlong event in October, Hendrick for a Cure, selling t-shirts and hosting cookouts each Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. for clients and employees in support of Friends of the Cancer Center. So, mark your calendars. This season, there is no shortage of ways to positively affect the lives of local women fighting breast cancer and change lives by enabling early detection.
